Chromeleon News: Dionex and Agilent Sign Instrument Control Code Exchange Agreement

August 2006, Sunnyvale, CA—Dionex Corporation and Agilent Technologies Inc. have agreed to exchange control codes for their chromatography instrumentation. The agreement provides Dionex with control codes for the Agilent 1100 and 1200 liquid chromatographs (including the 1200 Rapid Resolution LC and the single quadrupole MSDs) and provides Agilent with control codes for the majority of the Dionex liquid chromatographs (HPLC and IC).

“This agreement provides significant advantages to both Dionex and Agilent customers” said Peter Jochum, Ph.D., Vice President of the Dionex Life Sciences Business Unit. “The existing control of Agilent LCs from the Chromeleon® Chromatography Data System software will be improved and development time for new drivers will be reduced. In addition, users of Agilent software will be able to control and acquire digital data from Dionex instruments directly from the EZChrom software”.

“By completing a formal code exchange agreement we are ensuring that Agilent and Dionex are cooperating to support our joint customers,” said Tony Owen, Liquid Phase Separations Marketing Manager.
