What's New in Chromeleon 6.7

Release 6.7 dramatically expands the features of Chromeleon® and gives you full advantage of exciting new developments in Dionex instrumentation. With the ICS-3000 ion chromatography system and the UltiMate 3000 capillary/nano LC system, Chromeleon 6.7 fully supports dual-system configurations that deliver substantial productivity increases. Upgrading to Chromeleon 6.7 will help you to both increase your efficiency and extend your capabilities.

New Instrument Control Features

  • All new Dionex instruments are fully supported, including the multi-award winning ICS-3000 ion chromatography system.
  • In conjunction with the ICS-3000 ED electrochemical detection, Chromeleon fully supports cyclic voltammetry experiments, waveform switching, and 3-D voltammetry (see below)
  • Dual-system support for many instruments bringing associated productivity increases.
  • Automated creation of panels through the new panel tabset feature. Ability to create custom panels retained.
  • Graphical program editing expanded to many third-party HPLC and GC systems.
  • Automated start-up for Summit systems.

New Data Analysis and Reporting Features

  • The combination of the new ICS-3000 ED detector and Chromeleon 6.7 allows the acquisition of complete 3-D amperometric datasets. This ground-breaking technology allows post-run optimization of integration periods, and opens up new capabilities such as amperometric libraries and peak purity analysis.
  • Virtual Column has been expanded to optimize gradient separations in addition to isocratic separations. Control programs and analysis methods can be automatically created, along with step-by-step eluent preparation instructions for customers not using RFIC.
  • Calibration curves can be fitted using third-order (cubic) polynomials.

Other New Features

  • Administrators can now manage Chromeleon’s user IDs and passwords through the Lighweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP), instead of having to manage separate sets at the domain level and at the application level.
  • Globally unique identifiers are used for every injection to allow tracking of individual injections across multiple datasources.
  • Security of information is improved by implementing a higher level of encryption.
